Since I am a great fan of ebay this search was more than interesting. There were several items that fell into the vintage Persian lamb jacket category. I signed on to the auction page every day this week. The first day I went in to the auction page there were 100 items relating to my category and the last day I went in to the auction page there were approximately 127 items. I found that every time I signed in the items changed daily.
Several of these items were also trimmed with mink collars just like my study garment. The prices were on the high end if it was a long coat. Most of the jackets started out around 25.00. The prices ranged from 25.00 to a final bid of over 200.00. There was one jacket that had a mink collar that tipped out at 76.00 with a starting price of just 24.99. I thought it was a great deal. When viewing the auction page pictures the coat looked like it was in great shape. I never would have known that Persian lamb coats and jackets were so popular if I had not done this assignment. Many of the pictures are very detailed which helps you decide if it is an item you might be interested in.
There is a world of information and much to learn from tracking auctions on ebay. I was lucky enough to find a jacket that was very similar to my study garment. It helped me to compare the differences and similarities of the construction, color and overall look of the garment. When I first saw the picture I couldn't believe how similar this jacket was to mine. Using ebay gives you a great opportunity to view many different kinds of vintage garments. The information that is provided on ebay includes not only pictures of the items but also detailed descriptions. Some items even gave a little history or what store the jacket or coat was bought from.
